私は高知県の出身です。どんなに遠くにいても、故郷高知のことを忘れません。高知は私を育んでくれたところ。たくさんの出会い、豊かな自然… どんなに私は高知を誇りに思い、高知に感謝していることでしょう。　このところ、今、私が住んでいるウィーンはとても寒い日が続いています。なおさら南国土佐がこいしい！そこで、季節外れではありますが、「よさこい鳴子踊り」をSoundcloudに出しました。クラシック歌手が歌うと、こんな感じですかね….もしよろしかったらお聞きくださいませ。　P.S 「よさこい」は高知が本家本元です！

I am from Kochi (Japan). No matter how far away, I never forget my hometown. Kochi in a way raised me. So many encounters, such plentiful nature… How proud I am of Kochi and how grateful I am! Recently it is quite cold in Vienna, where I now live. Above all I miss Kochi! A little out of season but I uploaded “Yosakoi Naruko Odori (Dance)” to Soundcloud. “Yosakoi Festival” is held in August and this piece of music is performed then. As a classical singer I performed this piece in my own way. I would be happy should you decide to listen to it. P.S. Yosakoi Festival is quite famous and has its origin in Kochi. When dancing this music does not necessarily have to be used.

Very famous Japanese Song. “Sunayama” means literally “sand mountain”. Lyrics written by Hakushu Kithara for children in Niigata in 1922. Short Synopsis: The Sea is wild, the Sun has gone down, stars appear, the wind is strong and everybody parts ways, let’s go home, goodbye sparrows, until tomorrow, goodbye sea, until tomorrow. It is my favourite song. I think the piano part of the right hand is like the waves, sometimes louder, sometimes softer. And between the waves there are short moments of silence. I asked the pianist, Mrs. Oono to express the breathing of the waves and I think she does a terrific job.
「砂山」は私の大好きな歌曲です。私にとってピアノの右手は、波の音のように感じられます。大きな波が来たり、小さな波が来たり… 波と波の間は、ほんの少し何も聞こえない（その時、波は力を溜めている）…   そしてまた、新たな波がやってくる…. 私はこの海の呼吸を表現して欲しい、とピアニストの大野日菜さんにお願いしました。とても良く表現してくださっていると思います。　　　この詩は、新潟の子供たちのために書かれたそうです。私は新潟にまだ行ったことがありません。きっと、私の故郷、高知の海岸とは違った風景のことでしょう。私がこの曲を歌うときは、いつも、自分の子供の頃のことを思い出します。子供の頃、よく、高知県東部にある安芸市に行きました。父が安芸市の出身で、家があったからです。その家は海にとても近かったです。母と一緒に、よく、海を見に行きました。小さかった私には、海がまるで巨大な怪物のように思えて、こわくてたまりませんでした。母は、そんな私の心をほぐそうと思ったのか、「大波来い」と言わなければ大きな波は来ないから大丈夫だと言いました。そして、海に向かって「大波、こーい！」と叫ぶのです。すると、本当に次の波は大きいような気がして、おもしろいやら、なおさらこわいやら…     それは、 とても懐かしい思い出です。　　　　今でも私は、海辺では、人に憚りながらひっそりと「大波来ーい」とつぶやいてみます。すると、亡くなった母が傍にいるような気がするのです。　下の写真は安芸市の浜で撮ったものです。私は多分、20歳ぐらいでしょうか…   母が撮ってくれたと思います。

Old lullaby which was sung in the Hiroshima/Okayama region. The mother comforts the child and the next day she will go to the shrine in order to pray for the child to have a good life.

This song has many nuances written by the composer and in order to record this it took tremendous concentration. It is said that Rokkyu were fishermen in a region of Northern Kyushu in Japan and it is also said that they were descendants of a Warrior named Rokkyu. Over the timespan of 700 years they cultivated their own lifestyle. This region has many temples (Jodoshinshu). People and also Rokkuys attend a Jodoshinshu festival (Hoonko), bells are ringingas if to support human life…

「六騎」は平家の落人で、九州北部の海辺に住み着き、その子孫も「六騎」と呼ばれ、漁師のようなことをしていた、と聞きました。白秋がそのことを書いたということは、平家没落から約７００年経っても「六騎」と呼ばれる人々が存在していたことになります。この歌からは、「六騎」の人々は、地元の人々とは違う生き方をしていたように受け取れます。まだまだ封建的な時代に、自由な恋愛を楽しんでいるような感じです。「六騎」の人々は、このような強い「情念」があったからこそ、長い年月、子孫を残し、生き延びてきたのだと思います。　　　この地域は浄土真宗のお寺が多く、宗祖である親鸞聖人の御正忌の報恩講は非常に盛大であったそうです。お寺の鐘が鳴り響き、それは壮大だったとのことです。　　　お寺の鐘は、108あるとされる「煩悩」と結びつけることをよく聞きます。人間は皆、「煩悩」を抱える存在であります。しかし「煩悩」なくしては「生きる」ことはないのです。お寺の鐘を聞くと、私たちは「煩悩」があることを思い出し、自分の本当の姿に気づき、反省することができ、そして更に力強く生きてゆくことができると思います。　　　　この歌では「六騎」の人々の生命力の強さが、「煩悩」と切り離して生きていけない人間の切なさと重なる気がします。そして、お寺の鐘は「生きよ！」と私たちのために響くのです。　　この曲は私にとって、「生きる」ことの応援歌なのです。

When I studied at Vienna city Conservatory(now “University of the city of Vienna,MUK”)with Professor Grossmann, he himself offered me some of his composed works to perform. This one here is one of those compositions. He said it was the first time ever that he had offered someone his composition to perform and this is a tremendous honour for me. In this piece it is about springtime in Vienna, when tender violin sounds can be heard coming from Wienerwald (Vienna forest), there is mention of famous sights and  also a little bit of Viennese melancholy character can be felt.

ウィーン市立音楽院(現在のPrivatuniversität der Stadt Wien,MUK)でL.グロースマン先生のもとでオペレッタを勉強していた頃、先生はこの曲を演奏するように、と、ご自身で作曲されたいくつかの楽譜を私にお渡しになりました。この曲はそのひとつです。先生は、ご自分から歌って欲しいと思われて楽譜を渡すのはこれが初めてだ、とおっしゃっていました。大変名誉なことと、光栄に思います。　この曲では、春に、ウィーンの森から優しいヴァイオリンの音が聞こえてきて、花や、その他の素敵なことを語る…ということが繰り返され、ウィーンのいくつかの名所を織り込みながら、ウィーン人のメランコリックな気質も、ちらと漂わせます。
